Closantel (as Sodium Salt)..........................50 mg.
Excipients ad ..............................................1 ml.
Description: Closantel is a synthetic anti parasitic agent which is highly effective against liver fluke, bloodsucking nematodes and larval stages of some arthropods in sheep and cattle. Closantel decouples the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, which leads to the inhibition of ATP synthesis. That causes a significant change in the energy metabolism, and as a consequence the death of the parasite.
Dosage: For subcutaneous administration:
Sheep, cattle less than 200 kg : 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
Cattle of 200 to 400 kg : 20 ml
Cattle over 400 kg : 20 ml plus 5 ml per 100 kg of extra body weight
Do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle per injection site.
Withdrawal times: - For meat: 17 days. For Milk: 8 days
Storage: Keep it sealed condition prevent from air and light , 5-30 ºC
Packing: 50 ml 100 ml glass vial
