Topical Solution (imidacloprid + moxidectin Drop)
Pet External Use Drug
Name: Imidacloprid and Moxidectin Spot-on Solutions (for Cats)
Compostion: Imidacloprid, Moxidectin
Character: This product is yellow to brown liquid.
Pharmacological effects antiparasite drug
Pharmacodynamics: Imidacloprid is a new generation of chlorinated nicotine insecticide, which affects the postsynaptic nicotinic acetylcholine in the central nervous system of insects.
Alkali receptors have high affinity and inhibit acetylcholine activity, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite. It is effective against adult fleas and juvenile fleas in all stages, and also has a killing effect on juvenile fleas in the environment. The mechanism of action of moxidectin is similar to that of avermectin and ivermectin. It has a good repellent effect on internal and external parasites, especially nematodes and arthropods. Its mechanism of anthelmintic action is to promote the neurotransmitter γ-amino acid. The release of butyrate (GABA) increases its binding force to postsynaptic receptors and opens chloride channels. Moxidectin also has selectivity and high affinity for glutamate-mediated chloride channels, thereby interfering with neuromuscular signal transmission, causing relaxation and paralysis of the worm, leading to death of the worm. Inhibitory interneurons and excitatory motor neurons in nematodes are its sites of action, while in arthropods the site of action is the neuromuscular junction. The two are used together to have a synergistic effect.
Pharmacokinetics: After the first dose, imidacloprid is rapidly distributed to the cat's body surface on the same day and remains on the cat's body surface between doses. 1 to 2 days after administration, the plasma concentration of moxidectin reaches its highest level in cats, and is distributed throughout the body and slowly metabolized and excreted within a month.
Indications For the prevention and treatment of internal and external parasitic infections in dogs. Prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenophora felis), treatment of tick infestations (Trichopterus canis), treatment of ear mite infestations (T. auris), canine sarcoptic mange (Scabies) and demodicosis (Demodex canis) , treatment of Angiostrongylus and gastrointestinal nematode infections (adult worms, immature adults and L4 stage larvae of Toxocara canis, Ancylostoma canis and Ancylostoma canis; adults of Toxocara leonata and Trichocystis lepiensis), prevention of heart disease Filariasis (L3 and L4 stage larvae of Dirofilaria immitis), treatment of circulating microfilariae (Dirofilaria immitis). It can also assist in the treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas.

Prevent and treat flea infestations: One dose can prevent re-infestations for 4 weeks. Flea pupae already present in the environment can hatch in 6 weeks or longer, depending on the local climate. In order to cut off the life history of fleas in the natural environment, the use of this product should be combined with environmental treatment.
Treatment of lice infestation: Single dose, veterinary examination and evaluation 30 days after administration will determine whether a second dose is required.
Treatment of ear mite infection: single administration. Loose ear debris in the external auditory canal should be removed before administration. A second dose will be determined after veterinary examination and evaluation 30 days after administration.
Treatment of scabies mite infection: Administer once every 4 weeks, 2 times in a row.
Treatment of Demodex infection: Administration once every 4 weeks for 2 to 4 months can effectively prevent and treat the occurrence of demodicosis in dogs and significantly improve clinical symptoms; longer and more frequent treatments may be required for severe infections. This product can be used once a week or longer depending on the veterinary examination. In all cases, treatment should be continued until the skin flakes are normal for at least 2 consecutive months. Dogs that do not improve or the number of mites does not decrease after two months of treatment should stop using it and be given other drug treatments under the guidance of a veterinarian. Because demodicosis is a multifactorial disease, the underlying disease should be treated if possible.

Routine monthly dosing in endemic areas can prevent Angiostrongylus larvae migrans and overt infection with Angiostrongylus.
Prevention of heartworm disease: For dogs living in or passing through areas where heartworm is endemic, this product can be used once a month throughout the year or one month before the mosquito (intermediate host, carrying and transmitting heartworm larvae) activity season. , until one month after the mosquito campaign ends. When substituting this product for another heartworm preventive product, the first use should be within one month of the last dose of the other product.
Treatment of circulating microfilariae: Administer once a month, twice in a row.
