DESCRIPTION

Penicillin G procaine and Streptomycin sulphate Vitamins Plus is a well-balanced combination of penicillin, streptomycin and vitamins. Penicillin G exerts a bactericidal action against penicillin-susceptible microorganisms during the stage of active multiplication. Penicillin G has been shown to be active against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pasteurella, Corynebacterium, Bacillus and Clostridia. Streptomycin is the first discovered aminoglycoside antibiotic. Streptomycin is bactericidal on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Salmonella, E.coli and Pasteurella. Streptomycin has a synergetic effect on penicillins, so both products can be combined at lower, less toxic levels.

 

INDICATIONS

Penicillin G procaine and Streptomycin sulphate Vitamins Plus is an active combination of penicillin, streptomycin and vitamins and is used for the treatment of infectious Coryza, Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), E.coli infections and non-specific enteritis infectious in poultry and turkeys.

 

CONTRA-INDICATION

Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to penicillin and or/ streptomycin. Do not administer to animals with an active rumen and intestinal microbial flora. Do not administer to animals with a serious impaired renal function.

 

SIDE-EFFECTS

Streptomycin can be nefrotoxic, neuro-musculo toxic, can cause heart and circulatory disturbances and can affect the ear and equilibrium functions. Penicillin can cause allergic reactions.

 

INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS

Do not combine with bacteriostatic antibiotics, especially tetracyclines.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For oral administration via drinking water. Clean and flush the drinking water systems thoroughly before and after administration of Pen-Vit wsp.

Poultry, turkeys         : 100 g per 200 liters of drinking water during 5 - 6 days.

Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours after preparation.

 

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Meat       : 5 days

Eggs       : 3 days

 

STORAGE

Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.

Store in closed packing.

Keep medicine away from children.
