DESCRIPTION
Oxytetracycline+Multivitamins Powder is a well formulated combination of multivitamins and the broad-spectrum antibiotic oxytetracycline. Oxytetracycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines and acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus spp. and Mycoplasma infections in poultry.
INDICATIONS
Oxytetracycline+Multivitamins Powder stimulates egg production, increases growth, improves feed conversion and is used as a vitamin supplement during periods of diseases and stress. It is indicated for stressful periods during the first days of life, vaccination, diseases, excessive changes in temperature, transfer to a new hen house. Post-treatment use after a coccidiosis treatment, worm, bacterial and virus infections It is active against gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive micro-organisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in calves, goats, sheep, poultry and swine. VETKO OXY-VIT WSP is also indicated for the treatment of weakness of the animal, retarded or disturbed growth, decreased fertility, skin problems or any other predominately attributed vitamin deficiency symptoms together with suppressed infections.
CONTRA INDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines. Administration to animals with an impaired renal and/or hepatic function.
Concurrent administration of penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine. Administration to animals with an active microbial digestion.
SIDE EFFECTS
None.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via feed or drinking water.
Poultry, pigs : 1 kg per 1,000 liters of drinking water for 5 - 7 days.
Calves, lambs and kids : 3 g per 10 kg body weight for 5 - 7 days.
Horses : 20 g per animal for 3 - 5 days.
Mixed with feed, use the product immediately. Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat : 7 days
Eggs : 5 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
